The Associate Manager, Information Security Data Management Engineer is an emerging role in highly respected, influential and in-demand area within the business. In tandem with security leadership and data governance team, this role is pivotal in setting up and maintaining robust data stewardship practices within our organization. The candidate should be proficient in the implementation of data management solutions across various platforms, including Identity & Access Solutions, Microsoft 365 and Azure capabilities.

This is an onsite role in Racine, WI.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design controls to enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures to meet regulatory requirements and minimize data security risks.

  • Work with delivery teams to ensure proper data governance over integrating various cloud services and applications that govern them.

  • Proactively identify data security vulnerabilities, assess risks, and implement robust security measures to protect critical data assets.

  • Facilitate remediation of data security incidents and develop action plans to minimize future risks.

  • Understand and consider end user experience to balance business requirements with data protection control development.

  • Develop and maintain metrics and reporting to monitor effectiveness of data protection initiatives and ensure continuous improvement.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in management information systems or computer science or equivalent degree or military experience considered in lieu of education requirement

  • 5+ years expertise in data management processes including: data classification, retention policies, data lineage tracking, and data cataloging using data analytics platforms.

  • Experience in analyzing datasets to identify patterns and trends related to risks identification and remediation.

  • Proven experience as a data steward, managing high-confidentiality data within critical business processes.

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Demonstrated proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across various business functions.

  • Designing, implementing, and managing data governance policies across an organization using Microsoft Purview and Defender tools

  • Proficiency in various data governance tools and platforms (IGA, PAM, DLP, DRM)

  • Strong communication skills that encompass verbal, written, and presentation capabilities, suitable for engaging effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Demonstrates a keen sense of ethics and confidentiality in handling sensitive information and decision-making.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, etc.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full time- Onsite in Racine, WI

  • Remote work available once a week for eligible employees

  • Not eligible for domestic relocation
