How can you make an impact?

The McGraw Hill Higher Education Content Accessibility Team is seeking an experienced, thoughtful, and organized Accessibility Project Manager. Join our team to manage the build and remediation of content to meet the latest accessibility standards, inclusive design principles, and accessibility best practices. In this role you will use project management skills to oversee content accessibility work and initiatives ensuring timely delivery, transparency to stakeholders, and delivery of high-quality, accessible content.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage a small to high number of products through accessibility review (QA) and remediation.
  • Address and resolve reported accessibility issues and questions that come from quality assurance reviews as well as tool and platform audits.
  • Partner with Digital Platform Group and Product Owners on tool and platform remediation plans.
  • Stay updated on accessibility standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Train and educate teams as needed on accessibility best practices, tools, and assistive technologies.
  • Model and advocate for accessibility across the organization.

You should apply if you have:

  • 2-3 years Project management, preferred experience in accessibility.
  • Proven ability to plan, execute, monitor, and complete multiple simultaneous projects on time and within scope.
  • Excellent prioritization, problem-solving, risk management, communication, and training skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards such as WCAG and Section 508 and communicate accessibility requirements, provide feedback, and promote understanding and awareness across stakeholders.
  • Solid command of at least one of the following: using assistive technologies such as screen readers (e.g. JAWS, NVDA), speech-to-text, and alternate input devices, ePub accessibility techniques, accessible HTML, CSS, ARIA, and accessible document formats, such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and PDFs.
  • Experience working in Microsoft Office applications, Confluence, JIRA, and Smartsheet.

The pay range for this position is between $49,500 - $80,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
