AON is looking for an AVP/ Local Client Delivery Leader (LCDL) - Hyrbid role located in San Francisco, CA.

  • This is a split role, with focus on the LCDL responsibilities,, but will also support a book of clients as a Lead Consultant or Account Executive.

  • Leading, mentoring and developing colleagues are some of our most meaningful responsibilities as leaders. Our Local Client Delivery Leaders are responsible for the overall performance of Client Delivery colleagues in their market, ensuring ongoing development and consistency in both internal resource management and external delivery of our solutions.

What the day may look like

  • In this position, you will contribute to the success of local colleagues and your overall market. Local Client Delivery Leaders serve as Lead Consultants on a book of business and as leaders for colleagues and a partner to Local Practice Leaders (LPL) to deliver consistency in business results. This includes:

  • Collaboration with Regional Client Delivery Leaders (RCDL) to understand organizational priorities, leading change management and efficiency initiatives within the nation and local market. Reports to the RCDL.
  • Learn the business and key drivers while partnering with other key stakeholders. Continually seek to understand how each functional role contributes to the success of the business.

  • Partner with LPL to understand business objectives, support the culture and keep one another informed of activities or changes impacting the market.

  • Coordinate development and delivery of specific trainings by market segment to ensure colleagues are well supported and prepared to excel in their roles.

  • Supervise capacity and workflow of staff to deliver on expectations for client deliverables,

  • Manage and improve relationships with internal business partners. Partner with new sales leader to ensure team is up to date on Aon United knowledge and opportunities.

  • Support colleagues across the market in working through client issues, addressing colleague interactions, and providing individual coaching.

Essential Functions:

  • Direct people manager of Client Delivery colleague in the markets; responsible for colleague growth and development; actively participate in goal setting and achievement with direct reports.

  • Build and manage the overall processes and trainings for the local Client Delivery team to promote consistent client delivery and colleague development across all market segments. Leverage internal Aon talent to support targeted trainings.

  • Engage in National and Regional Client Delivery initiatives and meetings to support ongoing projects and workstreams passionate about efficiency, development, and engagement. Recommend changes to processes and procedures as needed.

  • Continually connect with leadership & management to help improve knowledge and performance for market-based team. Develop a plan for the team to help prioritize so they can accomplish goals.

  • Guide Recruiting resources in needs of the local market, ideal candidates, interview assessment and compensation package.

  • Responsible for supervising Client Delivery colleague capacity within the market. Partner with RCDL and LPL to plan for resource needs. Deploy colleagues in the most effective manner to meet assigned local and regional business goals and account recoverability.

  • Effectively leverage Aon's Management training and mentorship program to support team with overall development.

  • Partner with local AE Leaders, Sales leaders, and LPL to help set priorities and identify revenue opportunities, ensure team is up to date on Aon United knowledge, train colleagues on finalist meeting presence and staff opportunities.

  • Maintain education regarding market conditions, compliance regulations, etc. in collaboration with U.S. Broking team and H&B Legal team.

  • Collaborate with Leadership team for Health Solutions and other Aon business lines to ensure standard processes & shared services are being communicated.

  • Work closely with colleagues & internal partners to coordinate continuous improvement of internal relationships.

  • Actively participate in Aon's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and community initiatives.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience using effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience in strong interpersonal, public presentation, and persuasion skills.

  • Manager experience recommended or shown ability to be calm in stressful situations and help guide colleagues to success.

  • Interact with other Aon Consulting team members, Producers, Leadership, Account Executives, other Aon Solution Lines and Vendors in the market.

  • Critical thinking and analytical problem solver able to understand qualitative and quantitative metrics to identify root causes and help influence decisions at the strategic and tactical level.

  • Provide strategic thinking and planning skills for development of talent in the market and succession planning.

  • Demonstrate understanding of health care industry and local markets for managed health care products.

  • Demonstrate proficiency to interpret and communicate laws and regulations related to health care.

  • Relevant state Accident and Health Insurance license required within 90 days of hire date.

  • Feedback Model training required as soon as possible from hire date; Mastering Client Interactions (MCI) recommended.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position intended for U.S. applicants is $130K to $165K annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of State. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

Whether it is bonus/commission eligible

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
