Regional PM Manager AMER

The opportunity

As a Regional PM Manager in the Project Management Office (PMO) you represent all the products and services provided by global IT infrastructure, this includes Networks, Infrastructure as a Service, End User Computing, Operational IT and Core platforms. Your role is to make sure that we develop and implement these technologies where our business requires it to further their performance, reliability and growth.

In this role you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders from various functions/business units to manage projects which align with business objectives and priorities.

How you will make an impact

• You will lead and manage projects across the Americas region together with a team of project managers, project coordinators and technical resources.
• Leadprojecttasksusing waterfall and agile project methodologies
• Manage large and small projects, including budgeting, task prioritization, estimates, team allocation and timelines to ensure delivery on-time
• Understandbusiness requirementsand coordinate translationinto technical requirements and maintain dialogue with all stakeholders
• Develop and manage project plans to deliver project outcomes according to business value
• Facilitate and coordinate communication with internal and external suppliers contributing to projects
• Identify and manage risks and issues, including escalations
• Create project status reports
• Ensure adherence to Hitachi Energy delivery methodology, including project controls and gate model
• Monitorproject budgets and forecasts, reportthe project expenses and variations
• Support process improvements and promote best project management practices
• Provide support in tracking project schedules, resources, deliverables, and risks
• Maintain where applicable, project documentation, including meeting minutes, action items, and project status reports
• Enhance department visibility and communication by managing Viva Engage platform
• Support IT demand management process for IT Infrastructure
• Maintain PMO artifacts, key department documentation, distribution groups and
• project management trainings
• Ensure adherence to Hitachi Energy delivery methodology, including project controls, governance processesand gate model
  

Your background

• Experienced and comfortable working in a matrixed organization
• Experienced and comfortable working with ambiguity and resistance to change
• Experienced and comfortable working with remote team members across multiple time zones
• Certified in or have understanding in Prince2, PMP or equivalent
• Understanding of different Agile frameworks (SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe) and Agile certications (SCRUM PSM I, CSM) are welcome
• Understanding of Lean Six Sigma concepts and DMAIC cycleare welcome
• Understandingof ITIL V3 and/or V4
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent people skills: team building and motivation, facilitation, and conict resolution
• Highly organized with attention to detail
