Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will focus on uncovering new market opportunities and forging strong partnerships across the industrial distribution landscape in the Americas. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking professional who excels at market research, relationship building, and crafting strategic initiatives to drive long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Opportunities
: Proactively scout for new business opportunities in the industrial distribution sector. Coordinate internal resources and cross-functional teams to effectively support and capitalize on new business opportunities, ensuring that the right expertise is leveraged at every stage of the process
- Business Growth Strategy
: together with the account managers, develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives focusing on our strongholds and strategic initiatives
- Relationship Building
: Act as an ambassador for the company by networking with industry professionals and stakeholders to build valuable, long-term connections that drive future growth.
- Market Analysis
: Conduct comprehensive market research to analyze industry trends, competitor movements, and evolving customer needs to inform business strategy.
- Collaboration
: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to align on strategic priorities and accelerate market penetration initiatives.
- Negotiation & Partnerships
: Lead negotiations for strategic partnerships and alliances that support business expansion, ensuring mutually beneficial arrangements and long-term success.
- Performance Tracking
: Monitor and report on key business development metrics, providing insights and progress updates to senior management.
- Reporting
: Prepare and submit monthly management reports of new business achievements, activities, opportunities, and targets.
- Sales Funnel Management
: Drive sales opportunity funnel management in CRM and to ensure opportunities are duly followed up, won, closed, and reported on promptly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the industrial distribution/aftermarket sector.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the industrial distribution market and its dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% or as needed.

- Value Proposition and Persuasion: Crafting compelling value propositions and effectively persuading potential clients.
- Project Management and Execution: Managing initiatives efficiently from conception to completion.
- Digital Proficiency and Technological Adaptability: Staying updated with the latest digital tools and technologies to enhance business processes.
