Controller

Job Description:

This position is responsible for managing the general accounting function for Olympic's Winder, Georgia location in accordance with regulatory and advisory organizations. The Winder location is one of Olympic's largest and fastest growing operations.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for all financial related matters, including AR/AP/Inventory Control
• Manages local accounting staff
• Works closely with General Manager and the entire management team
• Coordinates monthly closing process




• Prepares and reviews journal entries for the Region
• Maintains account reconciliations (prepaids, accruals, etc.)




• Develops annual budgets/ monthly forecasts, and communicates to management team
• Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of the Daily Profitability Report
• Helps management analyze and justify capital expenses
• Works with external and internal auditors to plan and execute financial statement audits and Sarbanes-Oxley audits
• Special projects as needed

• Ability to work with all levels of personnel in a team environment
• Proactive strategic thinker
• Skilled at analytics, budgeting, financial planning, financial statement preparation and analysis
• Experience with capital projects
• Manufacturing / Job Costing Knowledge
• Ability to translate a business opportunity into a financial justification
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting
• Public Accounting Experience a plus
• High degree of technical competency using various software platforms
• 5+ years of related accounting or finance experience preferably in a large manufacturing setting
