Shipping Receiving ark

Would like candidate to have at least 5 years exp. In warehouse as well as 2-3 yrs. experience driving forklift.

Duties and Responsibilities:

o Prepare domestic & international shipments in accordance with shipping requirements & specifications.

o Assemble, check orders, packing & crating, attach or stencil shipping instructions.

o Receive all incoming materials, supplies, equipment & returned goods.

o Check received good against purchase orders or receiving papers.

o Check quantity, type, size, part numbers, dimensions, etc. to properly identify materials.

o Route or deliver materials to storage or manufacturing locations.

o Maintain records & prepare receiving & shipping reports.

o Help load & unload trucks.

o Operate crane to lift, transport and position loads requiring skill & care in handling up to the capacity of the equipment. Use proper rigging methods.

o Backup for Logistics coordinator.

o Receive in kits and do follow up until kit is complete.

o Responsible for receiving all goods including raw steel and processed kits.

o Maintain work areas; always keep organized, clean and safe; indoors and outdoors.

o Before leaving for the day make sure all forklifts are parked inside.

o Pull kits and bring into the assemblers for assembly.

o Perform in-process testing and inspection to ensure parts meet production specifications and standards.

o Detect and report defective materials to the Supervisor.

o Organize parts and monitor stock levels.

o Complete any special projects as required. May be assigned to other areas of Operations, based on business or customer requirements.

o Willing to work overtime as required.

o Use proper call-in procedures.

o Maintain active verbal & written communication with peers and supervisors to ensure safe and effective productivity.

o Have a teamwork attitude; listen, encourage, inspire, and motivate others.

o Be clear and courteous to co-workers, customers, and outside sources.

o Good verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

o Knowledge in shipping & receiving industry preferred..

o 1-2 years of experience in S & R preferred.

o Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, assembly, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, technical drawing, and procedural manuals.

o Able to work in a quality-production environment; keep a clean workstation, multi-task, meet production deadlines, be

organized, detail orientated, dedication, problem solving and teamwork.

Safety and Training Responsibilities:

o Use safety devices, PPE, and other tools to maintain a safe environment.

o Observe health and safety signs, posters, warning signals and written directions.

o Follow safe practices: OSHA, SDS, PPE.

o Work in compliance with all Administrative, H&S policies and safety procedures as per legislative requirements.

o Actively participate in orientation and on-going training programs by the organization.

o Report any real or potential safety/health hazard, practices, &/or conditions to the Supervisor. Report all accidents, incidents or near misses to the Supervisor as well.

o Conduct daily inspections.

o Wear appropriate apparel.
