What to Expect
This position will work as a member of Tesla's Vehicle Test Team to support thermal firmware validations in extreme weather conditions located in various locations. The primary goal of this role is to execute testing in accordance with the test procedures established by stakeholders and report in accuracy any findings or results from the test. The successful candidate for this position must have a general understanding of automotive technology, and flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast paced work environment. This opportunity will require the flexibility of traveling up to 70% to domestic or international destinations based on business needs.
What You'll Do
- Execute iterations and provide accurate post-test results or feedback
- Operate data collection equipment in line with test procedures
- Maintain high-quality vehicle data entry in the test database and sheets
- Drive vehicles in extreme weather conditions over long distances while ensuring precise data reporting
- Collect, monitor, and annotate real-time vehicle telemetry data
- Collaborate with Engineers and Technicians to achieve test objectives and goals
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any issues, and support workshop operations
What You'll Bring
- Valid driver's license required
- Flexible schedule required, including day/night shifts, weekends, and potential overtime
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot CAN-based logging tools and follow oral/written instructions for test vehicles and equipment
- Ability to maintain discretion with unreleased hardware/firmware, adhering to Tesla's confidentiality standards
- Capable of staying calm during high-stress situations, especially in extreme weather conditions, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to 48 inches high
- Must be able to cross functionally support other teams in test preparation, test execution, post test objectives, or other business needs that may arise
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- This is a safety-sensitive position, subject to drug testing in accordance with Tesla policy and applicable law

Expected Compensation
$25.25 - $48.00/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
