Cement Transport - Milaca (Seasonal)

As a Cement Transport Driver, you will be responsible to safely operate tractor-trailer to deliver & unload cement powder to ready mix plants. Will need to display a professional and courteous attitude with customers and team members and provide excellent customer service and be knowledgeable about material properties.

This is a seasonal position, you can use your winters off to travel, hunt, fish or for other activities you enjoy while your benefits continue year-round.

Salary range: $27.00 - $32.50 hourly.

Hours per week: 40+

Duties and/or Responsibilities:

• Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.
• Accurately complete daily vehicle inspection forms
• Perform daily housekeeping on truck
• Safely operate and maintain truck
• Properly load, secure & unload material
• Accurately complete load tickets where applicable
• Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations .
• Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
• Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
• Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

As a successful Ready-Mix Driver, you will have:

• A valid CDL Class A or B license with acceptable driving record
• Preference given for CMV experience
• Ability to pass a Department of transportation physical and maintain CDL
• Ability to pass a Department of Transportation drug/alcohol screen and remain substance free
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime and some Saturdays.
