Job Description

Position Overview

Torch Technologies, a 100 percent employee-owned company, is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Business School Intern to join our Sales & Marketing team for the summer. This internship provides a unique opportunity for a student pursuing a business degree to gain practical experience in a fast-paced, AI-driven environment. You'll work closely with experienced professionals, contributing to key sales and marketing initiatives focused on showcasing the power of Generative AI.

Learning Opportunities



  • Participate in ongoing sales and marketing projects, contributing to team goals, potentially involving market research or competitive analysis
  • Assist in the creation and editing of PowerPoint presentations for internal and external use, often incorporating demonstrations of our AI solutions
  • Assist in the development of sales and marketing materials, including presentations, brochures, email templates, case studies, and social media content (under supervision). Content will emphasize the benefits and applications of Generative AI


Duration and Location



  • This is a summer internship, lasting 12 weeks
  • Huntsville, Alabama


Key Responsibilities

During your internship, you may...



  • Manage and maintain a database of customer leads within HubSpot, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information
  • Initiate and conduct follow-up communication with prospective customers via phone, email, and potentially other channels, under guidance. Focus will be on understanding their business challenges and exploring how Generative AI solutions can provide value
  • Accurately and efficiently enter customer interaction data into our HubSpot CRM system
  • Diligently track all sales and marketing activities within HubSpot, ensuring accurate recording of contacts, interactions, and outcomes
  • Generate regular reports on sales and marketing activities using Microsoft Excel, analyzing data within HubSpot to identify trends and insights related to lead generation and customer engagement
  • Provide general administrative support to the Sales & Marketing team as needed

Job Requirements

Qualifications



  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with lead management, contact tracking, and reporting features within a CRM system is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with HubSpot CRM
  • Basic understanding of marketing platforms (e.g., Google Ad, Meta Ads)
  • Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI concepts


Preferred Qualifications



  • Previous internship experience
  • Experience with social media marketing, particularly on platforms relevant to technology professionals (e.g., LinkedIn)
  • Basic understanding of email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact)
  • Experience with basic graphic design (e.g., Adobe Suite, Canva)
  • Participation in business-related student organizations (e.g., Business Club, Marketing Club)
  • Coursework in Business, Accounting, Sales, Marketing, or CRM


Requirements



  • US Citizen
  • At least 18 years old
  • Actively enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited educational institution
  • In good academic standing with a grade point average of 3.0
  • Commitment to a full-time schedule during the internship period
