Assistant Director of Academic Development
Overview The Assistant Director will work closely with the Director of Academic Development to provide vision, oversight, and ongoing support for promote student success in the School of Medicine and School of Health Professions. Responsibilities
Student Support. Provide individualized academic counseling for students in the Medical School and Health Professions programs; advise students as needed on policies and procedures related to their course of study; monitor and advise at-risk students' performance on standardized examinations; provide group advising sessions to various programs, as needed; and consult with faculty and program administrators in support of students' success.
Qualifications Master's degree in education or psychology. One (1) year of experience in academic counseling, preferably in a higher education setting is preferred. Understanding of the rigors and demands of healthcare training programs is helpful. Location : Location US-VA-Norfolk |
