Overview

This is a remote role that may be hired only in NC, AZ, NJ, VA.

**Remote with ability to travel to Raleigh, North Carolina, Phoenix, Arizona or Morristown, New Jersey, on an as needed basis.

This IAM Director plays a critical leadership role within the enterprise IAM program, overseeing service areas such as privileged access, access governance, authentication or directory services. This position is responsible for leading teams, executing on IAM initiatives, and driving operational excellence across assigned IAM domains. The ideal candidate brings a balance of technical understanding, team leadership, and business strategy and alignment.


Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of IAM engineers, analysts, and project contributors focused on specific IAM services. Provide guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  • Service Ownership: Own the delivery, performance, and continuous improvement of one or more IAM service areas.
  • Program Execution: Translate strategic IAM goals into actionable roadmaps and ensure timely execution of projects and operational activities within assigned domains.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cybersecurity, infrastructure, HR, and application teams to ensure alignment and seamless integration of IAM solutions across the enterprise.
  • Process Improvement & Automation: Identify opportunities to enhance and automate IAM processes to increase efficiency, reduce manual errors, and improve user experience.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure IAM controls meet regulatory and policy requirements. Support audits, risk assessments, and remediation efforts related to IAM.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting mechanisms to measure and communicate the effectiveness of IAM services and operational health.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience in Technology infrastructure or Information Technology management OR High School Diploma or GED and 14 years of experience in Technology infrastructure or Information Technology management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or platform-specific IAM certifications (e.g., Okta, SailPoint, CyberArk).
  • Proven experience managing IAM services in complex enterprise environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Skilled in project management, team development, and service delivery.
  • Experience working for a large financial institution.
