Description
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Administer the pre-boarding process for all new hires, supporting them in their completion of the pre-boarding tasks.
- Complete administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientations, offboarding, to including accurate data entry into HRIS.
- Administer internal transfers, education reimbursements, terminations and other human resource processes.
- Serve as a back-up administrator for leaves of absence, benefits and other programs.
- Provide support to employees and managers regarding HR-related questions or concerns and provide guidance on application of company/HR policy application.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Conduct or assist with record audits and mandatory reports as needed, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, Affirmative Action Plans, and other compliance reviews.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law.
- Consult with HR leadership team, as well as work with the broader HR team, as needed.
- In partnership with HR team, facilitates positive employee relations and positive culture building.
- Perform other assignments as directed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
- 4 years of human resource experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, ethics and cultural awareness.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and take initiative.
- Experience working with proprietary information, ability to operate with a high level of confidentiality and with a high-level accurateness.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working with applicant tracking and HR software applications and ability to learn new software and processes.
- This position is working with government related contracts and requires U.S. citizenship.
Preferred
- HR certification preferred; PHR/SPHR or CP/SCP.
- Experience within the Government Contracts community is preferred.
