Machine Operator, 2nd Shift - Peru, IL

We are looking for self-motivated and safety-conscious candidates who would like to join our production team.

New employees can earn 75k in total compensation when working at Canam Steel Corp for a 50-hour work week. This includes the base rate, overtime, retention and production bonuses.

Machine Operator, 2nd Shift
Monday - Friday 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM plus over time, including some Saturdays.

Position is offering a $2500 Sign On Bonus!

SUMMARY
Perform machine shop and roll forming press operations on the production floor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Operate machinery according to standard operating procedures.
• Monitor production output and quality to meet specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to safety protocols.
• Assist with finished products by using banders to bundle finished products.
• May operate forklift or crane.
• Assist with Break Press operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Regular, reliable, punctual and consistent attendance. Must be able to work regular and/or flexible hours or shifts, overtime, weekends as required.
• Frequent communication with others to exchange information.
• Frequent repetition of motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Frequent moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
• Frequent lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
• Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Constantly thinking and processing information.
• Constantly maintaining concentration and focus on tasks.
