Description
SUMMARY: The Director of Marketing will oversee the Marketing department for Patriot Place and will develop and execute the marketing plan, program and brand strategy for the entire property. The Director will manage a team, be accountable for departmental results and the achievement of company goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will have in depth experience in all facets of branding, advertising and promotional development and execution along with strong project management and strategic planning skills. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct and manage all elements of the Patriot Place marketing department to include the development and implementation of branding and related marketing strategies for the entire property with defined objectives across different channels and segments to reach target audience, and the goal of driving awareness, increasing traffic and revenue for the site.
- Develop and manage the annual marketing and advertising budget for the site.
- Lead and mentor marketing team in the implementation and execution of the marketing strategy. Partner with Human Resources on hiring, training, and performance management of staff.
- Develop and maintain relationships with tenants with a focus on strategic initiatives and in-store/restaurant events.
- Oversee the marketing team's execution of existing and new family-friendly traffic driving events and activations that are impactful and measurable.
- Identify projects and initiatives that require advertising and marketing support, allocate marketing budget accordingly and assist with developing, defining and executing long and short-term marketing and branding strategies.
- Serve as in-house agency representative to negotiate media buys and/or trade partnerships.
- Develop production timelines and planning calendars and prioritize the various initiatives based on deadlines.
- Oversee the proper execution of creative, production and all media components including the following advertising vehicles: Social Platforms, Print, Radio, TV, Outdoor, Email, Web Advertising, etc.
- Establish logo usage and photography guidelines for all tenants to ensure an "across the board" consistency of our Patriot Place brand.
- Optimize utilization of current advertising mediums as well as identify new and creative media that can be utilized in the execution of the marketing strategy.
- Develop and maintain relationships with related organizations to maximize cross-promotional opportunities.
- Conduct competitor research and network with local community groups, chambers and tourism entities to promote property.
- Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
- Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in marketing
- 8-10 years of retail development marketing experience with 2-3 years of senior level management experience
- Strong management skills with the ability to delegate and manage the execution of assignments
- Demonstrated ability to manage and perform multiple tasks within a fast-paced business office or agency environment
- Understanding of key performance metrics and tracking tools for market research, forecasting, competitor analysis, campaign results and industry trends that translate into actionable insights for marketing team and senior leadership
- Experience developing and executing promotional plans for clients that result in increased exposure and/or awareness
- Demonstrated agency skills that will enable our organization to secure discounted media rates when negotiating advertising buys
- Deep understanding of all social media best practices and track record of executing successful social media campaigns
- Ability to build effective inter-organizational working relationships
- Must have ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends
- Prior experience in the retail or entertainment industry is preferred
- Must have attention to detail and focused concentration
- Must be able to learn new tasks and complete tasks independently
- Must be able to make timely decisions in the context of the workflow
- Must possess strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and responsiveness
