Overview: We are seeking a Practice Manager to join our Legal Operations team. In this role, you will support the day-to-day operational, financial, and strategic needs of the Real Estate, Energy, and Eminent Domain departments. Reporting to the Director of Attorney Development & Practice Management, you will collaborate with practice leaders and administrative teams to optimize department operations, enhance service delivery, and support strategic planning and business development initiatives. Key Responsibilities Include: Business, Administrative & Operational Support * Partner with department chairs and leadership to drive operational effectiveness, profitability, and innovation in service delivery. * Assist in creating annual financial models and support ongoing budget monitoring and performance tracking. * Collaborate with Finance and Pricing teams to support revenue growth and develop pricing strategies. * Work closely with Marketing to support client development efforts, including budget planning, data analysis, pitch materials, and RFP responses. Strategic Planning * Facilitate the strategic planning process for assigned departments and track progress against established goals. * Partner with Marketing and Business Development to align business plans with departmental strategies. * Lead or support key departmental initiatives and special projects aligned with strategic objectives. Efficiency, Legal Project Management, Knowledge Management & Technology * Identify opportunities to improve legal service delivery through better workflows, project management, process improvement, and technology adoption. * Support the firm's data strategy by tracking matter data, capturing experience, and monitoring content/resource utilization. * Stay current on relevant legal technology trends; coordinate with IT and Knowledge Management on evaluation, implementation, training, and adoption of new tools. Our Ideal Candidate Will Have: * Bachelor's degree required; MBA, JD, or other advanced degree preferred. * At least 5 years of relevant experience in a professional services or law firm environment. * Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting. * Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, service-oriented approach to internal and external stakeholders. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams); experience with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Planner, Microsoft Lists) is a plus. The salary range for this position varies by geographical market. In Minneapolis, the estimated starting annual pay range is $125,000 - $135,000 per year. The compensation offered will be dependent on the candidate's experience, skills, education, professional background, overall qualifications, and geographic market location.
