The Opportunity: The purpose of this role is to lead a team of underwriters in managing underwriting activities and P&L responsibilities for the insurance products across various distribution channels. This includes manual underwriting of digital products, renewal reviews, quotation generation, and building strong relationships with intermediaries to enhance underwriting service delivery and drive product innovation.

*Location: Fresno, California

*Work Arrangement: This role will require 5 days/week in our Fresno, CA office. The hours for this role are 7:30am-4:15pm PST Monday through Thursday, and 7:30am-12pm PST on Fridays

*The starting salary range for this role is between $92,500 and $138,500 depending on experience

Your New Role:

  • Assure compliance of underwriting document handling, including applications, reports, and claim forms.
  • Direct employees to maintain compliance with regulations.
  • Interface with agents and marketing staff for smooth coordination of applications and reports processing.
  • Assure cross training of underwriting staff for all lines of business.
  • Perform audits and provide final underwriting approval on agreements.
  • Maintain industry and regulation knowledge, making recommendations for changes.
  • Manage budgeted resources by forecasting needs and accounting for expenses.

Work Experience:

Necessary Work Experience includes:

  • Some relevant work experience.

Preferred Work Experience includes:

  • Minimum of one year supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of Crop Insurance experience.

Qualifications:

Necessary Qualifications include:

  • Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate's professional background, including their education and experience.
