Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Analyst - Value Analysis.
In this role, the Senior Analyst is responsible for ensuring that all new products entering the health system meet our quality and financial goals. They will play a key role in analyzing data, providing insights, and supporting the decision-making processes within NYU Langone Health. This role ensures that the process by which we assess new products is clear, thorough and timely. This role works with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure a holistic clinical and financial analysis is presented at Committee meetings including but not limited to, operating costs, incremental revenue, forecasted reimbursement and quality inputs. This role is responsible for communicating with and presenting to, various levels of the organization, including, but not limited to, Physicians, Nursing, Logistics, Hospital Administration and Finance. This individual is organized, action-oriented, analytical in their approach, and has the ability to manage a request from end to end. This position is the key liaison between Value Analysis, Finance, Sourcing, and Clinical teams to ensure we are following processes, conducting product look backs, reporting on key metrics and supporting the team(s) achieve savings targets.
Job Responsibilities:
- Present data insights and recommendations clearly and concisely, often translating data into understandable terms for our clinicians.
- Partner with VA Operations and Clinical Leads to assist facilitate end to end New Product Request Review Process, including, but not limited to product analysis, evaluation feedback and clinical and financial lookback data.
- Support VA Operations Manager and Evaluation Coordinator to ensure timely and accurate review of products
- Assist with all end user inquiries related to necessary data, information, and resources to successfully complete a new product request review. This includes effectively communicating requirements, deadlines, and collaborating with the stakeholders to gather all essential inputs.
- Focus on Continuous Improvement - create process and communication plans to educate the Health System on the Value Analysis Process.
- Responsible for the integrity of all reporting related to value analysis projects
- Lead the management of long-term product lookbacks to ensure new products achieve the organizations financial goals
- Effectively communicate and present to various clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, ad needed
- Analyze internal data such a purchase order history, utilization, reimbursement data, and quality metrics to support financial decisions
- Establish relationships throughout the health system and work with cross functional teams to complete organizational projects
- Effectively communicate and present key metrics and other information to senior leadership in various settings
- Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures and training modules to ensure consistency and accuracy of analysis across departments
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and Health System Policies.
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives, as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree with a major in a business subject (e.g., accounting, finance, economics)
3-5 years of related experience.
Other minimum qualifications include excellent oral and written communication skills, analytical skills, problem solving skills, and a comprehensive knowledge of all applications within Microsoft Office; specifically with Excel.
Experienced in leading projects, and a strong history of working with cross functional partners.
Ability to interpret large datasets, identify patterns, and make data driven decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with supplier/end user relations and supply chain management technologies. Able to demonstrate a strong history of influencing cross-functional teams, both within supply chain, and with external partners. Customer Service and Process Improvement mindset. Project management experience. Experience working in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of adapting to evolving business needs. Prior experience in healthcare supply chain or data analysis is preferred.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 - $135,541.73 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
