Summary:

The HIM Operations Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the information processing section of the HIM Department. This could include all aspects of release of information, deficiency analysis, document management and the HIM call center. This position reports to the HIM Manager or HIM Director and assists in planning, organizing workflow, quality, productivity, performance evaluation process and oversees time and attendance of staff members.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Associate degree required or equivalent experience of 3-5 years in Health Information Management or other related healthcare field
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years' experience working in Health Information Management department or equivalent hospital and/or medical practice setting required. Prior experience training teams and/or leading projects preferred.
