Job Summary

The Sr. Analyst, Talent and Engagement role supports the organization's talent and engagement strategy, workplace culture initiatives that align with CSX's vision, long-term strategy, and values, and behaviors. This role ensures that the company fosters an environment where employees are valued, included, respected, appreciated, and listened to. It supports sourcing initiatives, inclusion related external partnerships, and aligning business resource groups to company objectives. The Sr. Analyst Talent and Engagement consults directly with business leaders, HRBPs, and employees across the CSX network to provide expertise in related areas.

Primary Activities and Responsibilities


  • Assist with the development and implementation of programs, initiatives, and partnerships to attract, develop, retain and promote an inclusive workforce for the organization.


  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and Corporate Communications to engage, pipeline, and acquire inclusive talent through various branding initiatives, partnerships and other recruiting channels.


  • Act as the primary representative of the team by presenting and engaging with senior leaders, collaborating with external partners, and being forward-facing. This role involves interacting with individuals at all levels, ensuring effective communication and representation.


  • Uses data and insights to align with company's strategic objectives to drive action plans and activities.


  • Manages the Business Resource Groups that deliver learning opportunities, community service impact and engagement while demonstrating business results aligned with CSX values & behaviors.


  • Partner with Corporate Communications and other relevant functions to engage all employees with clear and motivating talent messaging and communications via team sites, annual calendars and other media outlets.


  • Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager

Minimum Qualifications


  • Associates Degree/2-year Degree


  • 3 or more years of experience in Business Management or Human Resources (HR) including Benefits Management, Learning and Development, Training, or other related HR fields


Equivalent Minimum Qualifications


  • High School Diploma/GED


  • 5 or more years of experience in Business Management or Human Resources (HR) including Benefits Management, Learning and Development, Training, or other related HR fields


Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree


  • 3 or more years of experience in Business Management or Human Resources (HR) including Benefits Management, Learning and Development, Training, or other related HR fields


Knowledge and Skills


  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


  • Knowledge of talent, and engagement policies and practices


  • Knowledge of employer branding and inclusion sourcing practices


  • Training delivery and facilitation skills


  • Knowledge of Learning and HR Systems (Learning Management Systems, PeopleSoft, Talent Management Systems)


  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills


  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time/Process and detail orientated


  • Ability to communicate across all levels within the organization.


  • Strong presentation skills and ability to speak in front of large groups


  • Collaboration, consultative, and relationship management skills


  • Ability to influence internal and external business partners and drive results
