This is a 100% Contract position for 2 years with the possibility of extension or conversion to career status The NAGPRA Repatriation Team reports to the Chancellor's Designee, and the Vice Chancellor of Operations Management and Capital Programs. Operations Management and Capital Programs supports UC San Diego's mission by providing a variety of operational and support services for the campus community. POSITION OVERVIEWUnder the direction of the Repatriation Project Team, the Repatriation Project Policy Analysis incumbent will carry out duties to ensure the daily implementation of the Native American Graves Protection Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) and CalNAGPRA (AB 275), which are state and federal regulations with the guidance of the UC Native American Cultural Affiliation and Repatriation policy. This position will include organization of internal/external documents, handling of confidential information and research UC San Diego cultural resource holdings. Foster community participation among Native American Tribes and Native Hawaiian Organizations by supporting consultation. Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of analytical practices, policies and procedures; researches, analyzes and develops solutions to a wide range of issues. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Primarily deals with policies, programs and proposals which are complex in nature and diverse in scope. Develops new programs, policies or procedures for possible implementation. QUALIFICATIONS

Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $69,500 - $123,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $33.29 - $59.15 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
