Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal ofenabling human life on Mars. LEAD STARLINK PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN - 2ND SHIFT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify schedule risks, and create action plans to minimize impact
- Lead efforts to uncover root-cause, and develop permanent resolution on issues found during product builds. This will require deep diving borg, issue tickets, optical test results, and part tolerances
- Identify and lead continuous improvement opportunities for product yield, quality, cost, and safety
- Analyze area metrics to create action plans and drive positive trends
- Maintain tooling, consumables inventory, and critical spares inventory
- Assist with transitioning product from engineering development and initial production to full rate production
- Schedule risk identification and mitigation
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 6+ months as a SpaceX Technician or 1+ years of experience in an outside aerospace production environment
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Electro-mechanical assembly and prototype development experience
- Proficient with computers, the ability to use MS Office, shop floor management software (ERP) and related programs
- Experience performing programming and operation of thermal chambers, optical tests, and CNC equipment
- Strong computer and analytical skills including proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, shop floor management software (ERP) and related programs
- Strong understanding of technical documentation, engineering drawings, and schematics
- Experience preferred in fast-paced production environment with flight hardware
- Able to adapt to constant changing work assignments and fast paced work environment
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work 2nd shift, overtime, and weekends as needed. Estimated shift time: 4:00 PM - 2:15 AM
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
- Repetitive operations such as grasping, standing, lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, carrying and use of small hand tools to secure fixtures and units under test to test equipment are generally required to perform the functions of this position
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Pay range: Level 2: $25.00 - $31.00/hour + $2.00/hour lead differential Level 3: $29.00 - $37.00/hour + $2.00/hour lead differential Level 4: $34.00 - $42.00/hour + $2.00/hour lead differential Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
