Work Schedule:

This is a part time, 0.9 FTE position. Shifts will be scheduled Monday- Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Communication Aids and Systems Clinic (CASC) is a partnership with The Waisman Center Clinics, UW Rehabilitation Department of UW Health. The CASC team provides services for patients who have a range of disabilities that include amyotraphic lateral sclerosis (ALS), spinal muscular dystrophy (SMA), spinal cord injuries, aphasia, traumatic brain injuries, cererbral palsy, autism, Rett syndrome, Down syndrome and others by providing low technology augmentative and alternative communication devices.

We are seeking a Clinical Operations Assistant to:



  • Coordinate administrative aspects of Outpatient Rehab Services, including intake, billing and communication with payers, phone triage, preparation of reports, researching issues and assistance in updating policies, procedures, manuals, and administrative tools.
  • Identify, document and provide feedback to management on issues that are observed as having an impact on operations and employees.
  • Enter, monitor, and report departmental data and information.
  • Purchase supplies, materials, services or equipment for the department.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required
  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare or related field Preferred

Work Experience

  • 1 year of experience in an administrative support role Required
  • 3 years of experience in an administrative support function Preferred
  • Previous experience in a health care setting Preferred
