18 Position Summary
CPS Energy is at the forefront of changing how people think about and use energy. Whether as one of the largest solar power developers in the country or by giving customers the latest smart energy solutions to better manage their energy use, CPS Energy is a leader in developing cleaner and smarter energy choices for our customers. The Manager of Strategic Pricing plays a critical role in achieving CPS Energy's financial objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for recovery factor calculations, assisting with cost of service studies and rate design efforts, maintaining CPS Energy's revenue forecast utilized in financial planning, developing and leading transmission-related PUCT filings, and analyzing customer bill impacts of proposed financial scenarios. This will include conducting analysis and developing recommendations as well as requesting and receiving approval from company executives, the Office of Public Utilities with the city of San Antonio, Board of Trustees, and other regulators as needed. Tasks and Responsibilities
Minimum Skills Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Strong knowledge of the Texas electricity market.
Strong knowledge of electricity rate design concepts and best practices; experience creating compelling product offerings for electric & natural gas services.
Experience conducting analyses and developing and implementing recommendations/action plans based on those analyses.
Understanding of key financial/accounting concepts including advanced business case analysis.
Leadership (including employee development), consensus building, and collaboration skills.
Advanced math skills including algebra and statistics.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; change agent with ability to influence at all levels of an organization.
Proven ability to work and collaborate with C-Suite executives.
Solution/results oriented with a bias toward action; strong ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify original opportunities; innovative thought leader.
Proficient in Microsoft Office including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling.

Bachelor's Degree in math, finance or related field of study. Required Certifications Working Environment
