POSITION SUMMARY To work as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide client-centered nursing care designed to improve or maintain the mental ability of the client, so they can achieve the highest level of well-being possible. The care will be focused on clients who are living with mental illness to attain optimal health and adapt to an altered lifestyle. SCHEDULED HOURS 8:00AM to 4:30PM DAYS OFF Varies Current State of New Jersey license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing). Current and valid CPR certification. Demonstrates effective interaction and communication (oral, writing, presenting) skills. Ability to work accurately and pay attention to details, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. Ability to function competently in stressful situations and a changing work environment related to changing customer needs. Ability to work cooperatively within the health-system; with patients and family members; and with multidisciplinary team members (i.e., physicians, etc.). Ability to utilize effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities, and respond quickly to emergency situations. Ability to use critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills to effectively solve problem-solve and deliver care. Certified Psychiatric Nurse certification preferred; commitment to becoming certified within 1 year of hire if not certified at time of hire. * Driver`s License - current and valid driver`s license, registration, inspection sticker and appropriate level of insurance coverage required, to include collision.
