The Associate, Programs Evaluation & Implementationis responsible for the evaluation of new submissions and their orderly transition to the Program Management team.

What will you do in this role?

Program Evaluation

  • Evaluate new submissions in accordance with the department's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Conduct research and assessment on the quality and character of underwriting teams under evaluation.

  • Develop 5-year pro-forma income statements for new programs

  • Evaluate the financial impact of proposed programs to the department.

  • Evaluate the exposure impact of adding a proposed program to the department (i.e. impact on average deployed limits, loss ratio volatility by product line, net AALs and PMLs) utilizing actuarial support.

  • Evaluate technical feasibility of implementing new programs utilizing internal stakeholder support.

  • Produce comprehensive reports and presentations for each phase of diligence to effectively communicate analysis results and recommendations to management.

Program Implementation

  • Project Manage a cross-functional group of internal stakeholders in the implementation of new programs.

  • Ensure all required diligence actions are completed and effective.

  • Produce weekly reports of Program Implementation Status.

  • Identify required deviations from the departments SOPs and ensure they are designed and delivered by internal stakeholders.

  • Effect an orderly transition of newly implemented programs to the Program Management team.

You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.

About You:

What you need to have:

  • In-depth financial and underwriting understanding of programs business with the ability to assess and develop financial projections and forecasts on existing and prospective programs.

  • Proficiency in Excel (build models and conduct analyses), PowerBI, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Proficiency in project management across a diverse group of internal stakeholders.

  • Confidence and comfort meeting, working with, and presenting to both internal and external senior leadership.

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including underwriting, claims, and actuarial teams, as well as external stakeholders such as Managing General Agents (MGAs) and Program Administrators (PAs).

Role Factors:

In this role, you will typically be required to:

  • Effectively manage work to achieve committed timelines

  • Travel ad hoc c. 1-2 times per year

What we offer:

For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $165,00 to $185,000 (NY), Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location.
