Texas Colon and Rectal Specialists is looking for a Clinical Office Trainer for Front Desk, Surgery Scheduler and Certified Medical Assistant based In the South Dallas and Waxahachie, Texas areas. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

What does a Clinical trainer do?

Train in one or more of the following positions: Front office, Surgery scheduler and/or Medical assistant positions. Responsible for training staff using Athena EMR in how to assist in general clinic office functions that support efficient and effective patient care including patient registration, insurance verification, collection of applicable co-insurance, and/or co-payments and scheduling of diagnostic and follow-up appointments and surgeries, assisting physician with patient flow and nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.


Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of clinic practices to efficiently and effectively assist physician in the provision of care.
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish/maintain a safe work environment.
  • Skill in applying the principles, methods, and techniques to assist physicians in provision of patient care.
  • Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions.
  • Skill in utilizing technology, preparing/maintaining records, writing, and responding to correspondence.
  • Ability to maintain OSHA compliant office practices.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Ability to adapt to change with industry standards
  • Training the Front office, Surgery Scheduler, or Medical Assistant duties using Athena EMR

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Athena One EMR experience preferred
  • Accredited Certified Medical Assistant Program (MA training position only)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of medical office experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills, computer skills, general knowledge of medical terminology and CPT-4, ICD-10 coding required.
