Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital is seeking OB/GYN Hospitalists to join its Inpatient Women's Health Services providing progressive evidence-based reproductive health care. Enjoy working in a state-of-the-art Birth Center and award-winning Hospital.

The Position:



  • Preference for experienced physicians who are Board-Certified or Board-Eligible with training in a high-volume residency program.
  • Support community OB/GYN Medical Groups and Independent Practices for overnight and weekend deliveries.
  • Hospital averages 2,000 deliveries per year with a state of-the-art Birth Center, NICU, and Robotic Surgery.


The OB Hospitalist model enables you to serve as the in-house expert, dedicating your full attention to patient care. This approach enhances patient safety, lowers maternal mortality rates, and helps reduce physician burnout.

Responsibilities:



  • Participate in OB/GYN triage for OB-ED
  • Gynecological emergency assistance
  • Fetal monitoring
  • Patient evaluation and management
  • Delivery attendance and surgical assistance
