Founded in 2017 and based in Chicago, Meitheal is focused on the development and commercialization of generic injectable medications and, as of 2022, has expanded its focus to include fertility, biologic, and branded products. Meitheal currently markets over 60 U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved products across numerous therapeutic areas including anti-infectives, oncolytics, intensive care, and fertility. Position Summary:

The Director of Brand Marketing, Specialty products (Xenleta and pipeline pharmacy benefit products) plays an instrumental role in providing leadership to ensure the Branded portfolio is properly positioned and developed to drive both short and long-term financial success. This role leads the marketing strategy including the design and implementation of the marketing/commercial plan to achieve product sales. Specific tactics for these Brands will focus on portfolio positioning, oversight of new product launches, lifecycle management, participation in annual budget/forecasting process and providing product support to various other internal functions.

The estimated salary range for this position is $190,000 - $230,000.

The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead the development of the sales and marketing plans for Xenleta, and oversee Eversana's execution of the same
  • Oversee the development of initial sales training materials, along with periodic updates of the same, with external vendors to ensure appropriateness of brand positioning
  • Align brand positions with the Brand manager of CONTEPO (IV antibiotic) as Xenleta will have both IV and oral administration
  • Co-develop and manage print/digital promotional materials with vendor, for internal and external stakeholders, resulting in impactful and cost-effective campaigns
  • Facilitate Brand reviews through Meitheal's Med Reg Legal review process
  • Build and manage the annual marketing budget for Xenleta and pipeline products such as Meitheal's insulin franchise.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality and on-time deliverables.
  • Coordinate with the Med Affairs team's MSLs to provide Meitheal's presence at relevant medical society meetings, publication strategies, and the like
  • Lead the development of product portfolio planning and strategic initiatives to meet organization financial targets, overcome business challenges and drive attainment of market share.
  • Utilizing multiple inputs provided by Meitheal's cross functional team members, serve as the portfolio expert as it relates to product positioning, competitive information, channel penetration and product performance. Lead the development, education and maintenance of product tools (brochures, website, sales collateral, etc.).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business or science related discipline preferred, with at least eight years of increasing responsibility and experience in branded pharmaceutical industry, with preference towards product management, portfolio management or marketing, or equivalent experience required.
  • Ability to understand, translate and integrate multiple data sources into clear and impactful insights to drive decision making.
  • High level of business acumen, analysis and judgement.
  • Strategy development, project management, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Solid understanding of biotech/pharmaceuticals, production forecasting, program and/or alliance management.
  • Product launch and brand/portfolio management experience.

Preferred

  • Advanced degree (MBA/MS)
  • Experience with global operating structures.
