JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering seeks applicants for a part-time researcher position, to work on a project between May 12, 2025 and August 29, 2025, pending completion of any required background checks. The successful candidate will conduct research on bioelectrochemical systems for renewable energy production. Applicant must have a PhD in Environmental Engineering or a related field. The candidate should have laboratory experience related to construction of electrochemical or bioreactors, measuring concentrations of chemicals in air and water, and good knowledge of materials used to construct bioelectrochemical systems. Preference will be given to researchers who have worked on conversion of electricity into hydrogen or methane using microorganisms, anaerobic microbiology techniques, or catalysts and materials selection for bioelectrochemical systems. The applicant should have good evidence of research experience based on publications on these topics or related topics in technical referred journals.
