The Release, Performance, Data and Environments team (RPDE) in the IT Operations organization leads T-Mobile's Non-Production Environment Engineering, Operations, Test Data Management, Performance & Reliability, as well as Release Management practices. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Product & Engineering to join our team, leading operations and evolution in the Non Production Environment space. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product, development, operations and transformational leadership. In this role, they will have the opportunity to directly impact the path to production by enabling and guiding technical direction and culture while driving quality, availability, stability and scalability of T-Mobile environment operations. This role will oversee daily operation for end to end environment planning, incident, problem, and change management and will drive transformation, governance, and continuous improvement of these areas. Position will manage a team of 20+ FTEs and skip levels, as well as on and off shore partners. You'll be directly accountable for maintaining high availability of the environment and key business flows and developing strong and positive relationships outside your direct teams with technical teams across the organization, dependent engineering teams, and supporting vendors.

Responsibilities:
- Effectively leads engineering teams to achieve results by providing appropriate direction, timely developmental feedback and mentoring, and conducting performance reviews and conversations. This includes crafting training, career development plans and ensures assignments with growing levels of responsibility
- Monitors and measures work tasks to ensure deliverables are provided on time and within budget.
- Defines and drives continuous development practice improvements across technical areas and organizations (e.g. team structure, roles, processes, tooling, security & compliance).
- Responsible for managing any vendor contracts and relationships within sphere of influence, ensuring that vendor partners are delivering maximum value to the organization.
- Leads teams to execute current and future state NPE road map items in collaboration with teams across the organization
- Oversees daily environment operations to ensure smooth and efficient processes that result in high availability of environments and key business flows.
- Leads, motivates, and supports team to achieve company & department goals
- Leverages AI/ML and industry standard analytics, & monitoring tools to find patterns, trend analysis of repeat issues to reduce MTTR and prevent recurrence.
- Challenge current practices to drive improvement, leveraging industry best practices, as well as inspire a growth mindset amongst their team.
- Defines service offerings within their scope as well as identifies and builds new services offerings and educates customers on process and standards
- Brings best practices & utilizes industry and market insight to identify opportunities and investments to deliver a best in class operations organization.
- Builds and manages relationships with key partners, including internal IT platform teams and delivery partners
- Able to effectively communicate and influence to action external partners, vendors, and executive audiences.
- Accountable for leadership, talent management and delivering incremental value in their area of focus through process, workflow, investment and resource management.
- Must create impact through personal confidence, expertise and authority
- Standardizing and managing non production environments, driving digitization, transparency, and parity across end to end environments to achieve high availability and usability.
- Able to assess current state and identify opportunities to optimize the provisioning and running of these environments.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 7-10 years Relevant Product Management & Operations experience in an software product development environment. (Required)
- 2-4 years Experience in a leadership role. (Required)
- 2-4 years Experience leading teams of 5 or more resources in direct reporting relationship in a Product Management or Dev Ops organization. (Preferred)
- Proven success in driving automation and innovation to achieve scalability
- Solid understanding of operational procedures, excellent leadership abilities, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Delivering software through test and release stages with agile methodologies and other commonly used tools. (Required)
- Successive elaboration and ability to develop Initiatives, Features and User Stories that the DevOps teams can ingest. (Required)
- Experience delivering large and sophisticated business/technology initiatives. (Required)
- Communication - proven track record to optimally and efficiently connect with Leadership, while employing a high degree of collaboration and influence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present sophisticated technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences including executives and non-technical leaders. (Required)
- Technical Analysis Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to identify/analyze/synthesize product use data. (Required)
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent experience.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Scrum Product Owner Certification (CSPO) (Preferred)
- Other Technical Certification Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) (Preferred)

Base Pay Range: $148,000 - $266,900
Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
