About the McGrath Outpatient Pavilion: Located in Hillcrest, the McGrath Outpatient Pavilion is a state-of-the-art, 250,000-square-foot medical facility designed to meet the growing healthcare needs of our region. Spanning six floors, this advanced facility is home to key clinical programs and offers specialized diagnostic, treatment, and surgical services. With a strong emphasis on cancer care, we are committed to delivering world-class medical services in a patient-centered environment.

DESCRIPTION

The McGrath Outpatient Same Day Operating Room will be have multiple services including Orthopedics, Urology, Pain Procedures, IR, ENT, Plastics and Vascular Service lines. This Peri-Operative Services RN will primarily work in the McGrath Outpatient Pavilion but will cross-train to the MOP OR as needed. This position is for 12-hour day shifts with weekend, holiday, and minor on-call requirements.

Incumbent will be circulating all procedure cases which include Pain Management (60%), PM & R Ortho(20%) Pain Management, IR cases(10%), and minor OBGYN procedures (10%), with the potential for more services as we grow.

Autonomous nursing care is the ability of a nurse to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The nurse is expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
  • BLS/CPR certification at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six months of hire date.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work within a team environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • BSN
  • Charge nurse experience preferred.
  • Moderate Sedation Certification.
  • Must be able to perform conscious sedation.
  • One (1) year of scrub and operating room RN experience including ENT, GYN, Urology, Plastic and Ortho.
  • Outpatient experience preferred.
  • CNOR
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Must be able to float to Main OR and take call as needed.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $180,716 - $180,716 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $86.55 - $86.55

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
