What You'll Do



  • Demonstrates ability to read and interpret work order, blueprints, and specifications to determine machine setup, type of material or part, quantity, and finish dimensions.
  • Able to operate all grinding tools, fixtures, and blocks to meet desired specifications.
  • Operate Robotic cells as required
  • Work in FanDuct Flow Line as required
  • Understanding of grinding media and how to achieve finish requirements
  • Perform finishing operations as breaking edges and threads, chamfering and blending surfaces
  • Uses a variety of hand tools, bench grinders, and disc and belt sanders to remove flashings, burrs, and surface irregularities prior to or following machine operations.
  • Properly position and use dust hoods, dust collectors to safely ventilate workspace.
  • Inspect or measure finished workpieces to determine conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as gauges, micrometers, profilometer.
  • Perform simple grinding and cutting operations as directed
  • Perform daily/weekly maintenance on grinding equipment/tools


    • Oil, Clean, Inspection


  • Documents actions by accurately completing production and quality logs.
  • Actively engaged in EH&S, sharing innovative ideas and taking positive actions to contribute to the achievement of EH&S activities
  • Integrity to act responsibly for the well-being of people, the preservation of property and business continuity.
  • Report all unsafe conditions to their supervisors
  • Report all accidents and injuries immediately to your supervisor.
  • Use personal protective equipment and devices provided for machinery, equipment, tools and processes, when defined in PCS, Company Safety Policy, Job Safety Analysis or Management direction.
  • Comply with all company rules including company safety policy and all federal, state, local, and other safety regulations and practices. As outlined in Spincraft Safety Manual
  • Actively participates in 6S and lean activities as outlined by the Company
  • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following Company instructions;
  • Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Tools, equipment and gauges are stored and maintained as defined by company standards
  • Keeps work area clean and organized to company standards/expectations

    • Daily cleaning and sweeping of work area, tools and equipment
    • Empty of trash and waste as needed
    • Personal items removed from workstations




What You'll Bring



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum 1-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Forklift experience preferred
