Industrial Maintenance Technician - Direct Hire

Staffmark is hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for an industry leader in mass timber design, engineering, and manufacturing in Dothan, AL. This is a direct-hire opportunity for a skilled professional dedicated to ensuring the longevity and efficiency of production equipment through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting.

Pay Rate: $21 - $32/hour (Based on Experience)

Schedule: Monday - Saturday, Flexible Shifts

Job Overview:

The Industrial Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production machinery, electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and conveyor systems. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery, including motors, VFDs, soft starts, and conveyor systems.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions using measuring/testing instruments.
  • Dismantle and repair defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Adjust and calibrate functional parts and control instruments using precision tools.
  • Fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment, welders, torches, grinders, and drills.
  • Maintain and manage equipment, tools, and spare parts inventory.
  • Provide technical maintenance support and troubleshooting for production teams.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment while adhering to OSHA regulations.
  • Document and report maintenance activities and system performance trends.

Qualifications & Skills:



  • High school diploma or technical degree (preferred).
  • Industrial Maintenance Technician Degree or Journeyman License preferred, or 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes.
  • Experience troubleshooting pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications for maintenance reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset.



Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, repetitive lifting of 35 lbs., standing and walking for up to 10 hours per shift, and frequent pushing, pulling, gripping, and reaching.
