Job Purpose

The Cycle Counter will maintain inventory accuracy through proper counting, processing of material reports and transfers; they will also assist multiple functions in locating material.

This is an overnight position and the candidate will be required to work from 10:45pm-6:45am with variable overtime, as required

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

* Perform daily cycle counts of raw materials, subassemblies, and finished goods.

* Provide accurate cycle count data to the Inventory Analyst, for inclusion in department metrics.

* Enter scrap accurately into ERP System and identify issues with the paperwork.

* Daily clearing of COGI errors.

* Ensure material subject to count is properly packaged and stored to prevent damage.

* Assist Inventory Analyst with variance reconciliation, and correction transactions.

* Identify, and recommend process improvements to prevent inventory variances.

* Monitor location aging reports and provide feedback to the materials team to ensure transactions are being performed in a timely manner.

* Assist with general material handling and inventory control activities as required.

* Research inventory discrepancies.

* Monitor product use-by-dates and conduct audits of FIFO conformance by staging and shipping departments.

* Execute product transfers and bin moves as required.

* Follow through on product disposition forms from Quality, including physically and systemically adjusting or removing inventory from warehouse.

* Understand how to correct errors and document issues.

* Follow and understand Dana Cycle count policy and procedures.

* Assist in physical inventory.

* Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

* Exhibits ability to use inventory software efficiently.

* Microsoft Office proficiency.

* Basic math skills.

* Effective communication.

* Handles discrepancies calmly and politely.

* Exhibits familiarity with receiving, put away, material movement, and shipping procedures.

* Strong problem solving skills and ability to work independently.

* Must obtain forklift certification within three months of hire date.

* Ability to lift 50lbs.

* Ability to stand for long periods of time.

* High school diploma or GED is required, associate degree preferred.
