Position Highlights:

  • Position: Pharmacist Specialist, Oncology Research

  • Hourly Pay Range: $60.24 - 95.29

  • The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

  • Location: Elmhurst, Naperville & Plainfield (Rotating as needed)

  • Full Time

  • Hours: Rotating Shifts including weekend/holiday schedules

What you will need:

  • Education (Required):

    • Clinical residency with a minimum of 2 years of clinical pharmacy practice experience required, (or)

    • Pharm D. from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy (Preferred)

  • Required License/Certification:

    • Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist License

    • Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross

    • Board Certified Pharmacy Oncology Specialist (Preferred)

  • Experience:

    • Minimum three years of clinical pharmacy practice experience

What you will do:

Responsible for all clinical and operational activities associated for patients in the cancer center infusion centers at Elmhurst, Naperville, and Plainfield locations. Ensures that the pharmacy provides optimal services, meets all legal, accreditation and certification requirements, and complies with all applicable policies, procedures, codes and standards of the center. Identifies, recommends, resolves, and prevents medication related problems through the intervention with physicians. Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure the timeliness of medication availability. Follows established policies, procedures, protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements in executing job responsibilities. Functions as the Pharmacist-in-Charge per IDPR/Pharmacy Practice Act.
