Manage prospect portfolio and apply moves management to approximately 100 donors in support of the individual Major Gift goal for the Office of Development.
2. In partnership with the Major/Principal Gift Team and the Senior Vice President, implements the Elias C. Benedict Legacy Society, the Concierge Program, regional fundraising and participates in the Development Committee of the Board of Trustees. Qualifications EDUCATION Bachelor's degree required, an MBA, MHA or equivalent advanced degree is strongly preferred. EXPERIENCE Ten or more years of development experience with a proven track record securing six, seven and eight figure gifts. Past successful experience in major gifts, planned giving and campaign leadership gifts in an academic medical center and/or complex healthcare system, educational institution or non-profit. *This role will require the incumbent to have had experience with donors in the region with a special emphasis on Greenwich and Westchester. Additionally, the individual will need to be able to move forward the existing portfolio of donors for the position and to identify prospects in the region as potential future donors to Greenwich Hospital and the System. SPECIAL SKILLS Demonstrated leadership, awareness & mastery of GH & YNHHS/YMS strategic goals & key functional sectors/service lines Able to understand & align the needs, interests & affinities of donors at the highest level with strategic priorities at GH, across YNHHS and/or within specific Service Lines Serve as trusted partner with donors, doctors & executive leadership to accomplish institutional strategic goals with philanthropy Proven ability to self-start & manage donor portfolio capable of at least $1M+ including: qualification, cultivation, sincere relationship building, strategy development, solicitation, closing & stewardship Proven track record converting high-level prospect relationships to higher level gift solicitations & closures Possess integrity & accountability for achieving performance goals with the use of patient information & implementation of donor strategies Able to think strategically & effectively execute with a bias for action & high-performance Attention to detail & use of innovative approaches Demonstrated independent judgement & critical thinking skills as a trusted partner for GH leadership, physician & executive leadership Able to work collaboratively within the GH Office of Development to achieve fundraising performance goals Keen understanding of GH?s strategic vision & the academic health system?s mission, culture & environment Interdisciplinary understanding of healthcare industry opportunities, challenges & trends especially as they relate to an institution?s strategic planning & high-level donors? philanthropic objectives A high degree of authenticity & collegiality among co-workers & staff Proven ability to establish & sustain productive, collaborative working relationships with executives, peers, & stakeholders both internal & external Superior written, oral & listening skills Proficiency with MS Office & Raisers Edge NXT required within six months of hire Able to be flexible, offer leadership, best practice advice & project supervision PHYSICAL DEMAND Availability to work nights and weekends and travel to events as needed.
