Job Summary This position is responsible for the administrative management and related operational activities of the credit union*s direct consumer lending and collections department which includes residential mortgages, participation and student loans, credit cards loans, and vehicle loans, in a centralized lending environment. This position requires the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the cu has the appropriate operational controls in place to effectively grow and diversify the 30 million-dollar loan portfolio and to safeguard financial strength and operating efficiency necessary to ensure maximum profitability of lending activities that are also in the best interest of the member. Communicate credit union lending goals and direction with all direct reports to ensure clear understanding of rules, regulations, requirements, and expectations. Participate in strategic planning and the development of credit union policies, procedures, and goals. Responsible for developing and implementing consistent organizational policies and procedures that comply with external regulations.
Required Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years? experience in management role in banking/credit union in lending and collections
  • Working knowledge of truth in savings, equal credit opportunity act, fair credit reporting act, fair debt collection act, fair housing act, truth in lending, and regulation E. Plastic card program.
  • Basic knowledge of guidelines of information security, information disaster recovery, financial/accounting risk and control.
  • Knowledge of banking or credit union operations policies and procedures with heavy knowledge of lending and collection laws
  • Analytical skills and experience with preparing and analyzing reports.
  • PC proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • Consumer/mortgage lending a plus.

The compensation offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plansubject to the terms and the conditions of the plan.
