About the Role
This position is for the Systems Technical Support (STS) and Futures Program Manager (PM) for one of our Ground Combat Vehicle programs. This individual will be responsible for the successful execution of the Booker STS and Spares program scope within the allotted budget and schedule, and for all future Booker development through Independent Research and Development (IRAD), Market Assist (MA), Bid and Proposal (B&P), and other funded efforts. This position will manage all contract, design, procurement, build, test, logistics, finance, scheduling, data management, business development, and program protection efforts for STS, Spares, and future projects.

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role
  • Manage all Booker STS, Spares, and futures scope within allocated budget and schedule, and ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Perform functional management duties, currently for two direct reports that manage Spares and the Booker Gunnery Training System STS project.
  • Forecast Booker STS and Spares manpower and establish schedule for all program activities, working with and leading all Product Team's (Engineering, Supply Chain, Vehicle Build and Manufacturing, Product Assurance and Test, Logistics/Supportability).
  • Interfaces directly with US Army STS and Spares Program Manager, and works with both GDLS and US Army contracts personnel.
  • Develop new and improved business processes to improve efficiency (Innovate Business Processes).
  • Work with functional management to accurately plan and resource the Booker STS and Spares team.
  • Coordinate efforts of suppliers through Supply Chain Management.
  • Work with all designated Product Team's to ensure key interfaces are identified and that stakeholder interests are managed within scope, cost and schedule.
  • Disseminate communications to all stakeholders and keeps management and leadership informed on status.
  • Develops and fosters a diverse, inclusive, and cohesive team.
  • Manages IRAD and MA activities for all future Booker development.
  • Works with Business Development team in meeting with prospective customers, both domestic and international.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Sought
  • Bachelors or higher degree in engineering and/or business management.
  • A minimum of 15 years of related work on US Governmental programs. Fewer years of experience may be considered with advanced education.
  • Program Management, Engineering Project Management, Integrated Project Team (IPT) leadership or related understanding and experience.
  • Experience managing efforts and/or negotiating contracts with customer, teammates, and/or subcontractors.
  • Understanding and experience with Government contracts and Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
  • Experience with transition from development to production or in sustainment a plus.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be willing and able to perform domestic and international travel.

This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)
