Who is GA Precision?

GA Precision is a certified industry leader capable of producing various types of machined components for the Aerospace, Fuel Systems, Hydraulic Components and Swiss Round-Turn Markets. We are located in Franklin, WI.

What does the job involve?

The Business Development Manager will prepare, maintain, and execute business development/sales plans. Works with the VP & General Manager to identify opportunities to grow the revenue, product mix and strategies for maximizing profit performance on products or family of products. The Business Development Manager will also secure contracts and/or orders from customers.

What will my responsibilities include?



  • Develop and maintain relationships with all levels of personnel and key customers.
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive them through the business through collaboration with other business functions.
  • Review information from customers to develop new business, review market movement and maintain information on competitors.
  • Create, prepare, and deliver all sales and marketing presentations and proposals at internal and external meetings.
  • Lead negotiations with current and new customers and close new business.
  • Generate pricing, contract, and delivery terms for current and new products.
  • Respond to inquiries, prepare quotations and report back status on winning or lost business.
  • Coordinate information such as engineering specifications, drawings, market volume and market direction between customers and internal organizations.
  • Initiate cross functional contract review process upon PO receipt.
  • Travel as needed calling on regular customers and complete cold calls on prospective customers to identify new business or resolve current issues.
  • Represent company at trade shows, association meetings and other functions.
  • Assume other activities and responsibilities as directed.


What key skills and experience do I need?



  • History of successful sales strategy building, business development and sales results leading to growth of the organization.
  • Excellent skills in verbal and written communication, including the areas of machining, prints, specifications, and commercial agreements.
  • Above-average interpersonal skills.
  • Working understanding of prints, specifications, ISO/AS quality requirements, and precision CNC machining processes.
  • Basic understanding of business & managerial finance and cost accounting.
  • Experience with negotiation and contract language.
  • Good presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to achieve goals or targets with a sense of urgency, without direct supervision.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP software.
  • Ability to travel by ground and air.


What qualifications should I have?



  • BBA, BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university. Engineering or other technical training is a plus.
  • Five years' minimum experience in market development or technical sales and marketing, preferably in the precision machining industry.

You will be eligible for the full complement of Senior Flexonics GA Precision benefits, including 401(k) match up to 3.5% and profit-sharing contributions (subject to the provisions of the benefit plan documents). Benefits are effective the first of the month after your date of hire. You will earn 10 vacation days (80 hours) annually. Your vacation will be prorated and accrue 1.54 hours per week.

This offer is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening, physical exam, as well as proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.
