General Description: Under the direction of the Financial Controller, the General Accounting Intern is responsible for clerical and related administrative duties. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Enter paperwork into an electronic system either by data entry or by using optical scanners.
- Manage documents including receipt, scanning and adding new documents to records received from departments and employees.
- Find and retrieve information from files in response to requests from authorized users.
- Keep records of materials filed or removed from storage sites.
- Modify and improve filing systems or implement new filing systems.
- Scan or read incoming Accounting Documents (ACCO & Sunbelt) and
- CFA related documents in order to determine how and where they should be classified or filed.
- Assist with the Vehicle Finance Procurement/Disposal process.
- Assist with the Fixed Asset documentation and storage.
- Assist with Payroll record scanning and storage.
- Assist with Financial Service report compilation for distribution.
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Use accounting or bookkeeping software
- Use computers to enter, access or retrieve data including document scanner
- Use spreadsheet software, word processing or desktop publishing software
- Strong aptitude for learning new systems and programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal communication/relationship skills
- Proficiency with MS Windows, including MS Word and MS Excel (e.g. can accurately complete sum functions and calculations using Excel formulas)
- Demonstrated customer service excellence, including professional, courteous phone skills
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Bookkeeping Experience, preferred but not required
- Experience with document imaging administration (a.k.a. "paperless" invoice system) preferred but not required.

Hours: Monday through Thursday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with occasional overtime as required. Competitive Wages:
$20.00 to $22.00 per hour.
