The Division of Enrollment Management represents the Offices of Enrollment Management, Undergraduate Admissions, Financial Aid and Scholarships and the University Registrar. These key functional offices support the campus goals to recruit, retain and provide a first-in-class education to the most talented students, regardless of background.

The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships is a key contributor to student success and student access in higher education, administering all types of financial assistance for eligible students demonstrating financial need, academic merit, and/or other merit factor(s). This includes, but is not limited to scholarships, grants, loans, and/or work-study awards.


Your Role on the Team

Using skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of analytical practices, policies and procedures; analyzes regulations and participates in the development of UCI student aid policies and procedures for ensuring compliance and administering financial aid from all sources. Reviews and makes final recommendations on appeals and creates academic plans. Communicates financial aid policy and appeal decisions and information to students and parents. Disseminates critical information to staff and stakeholders as Federal, State and University laws, regulations and policies change the delivery of Student Financial Aid (SFA) or as required for the delivery of SFA.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $69,500- $96,500 (Annual).

Required:

  • Knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
  • Analytical / problem-solving skills.
  • Strong skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals / analyses.
  • Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
  • Strong policy analysis techniques and policy writing skills.
  • Knowledge of existing Federal, State and University policies, procedures, laws and regulations governing the delivery of student financial aid.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • 4-6 years years of directly related experience

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of instructional development/design techniques and skills with the ability to create training programs and resources

Special Conditions:

  • Occasional/seasonal nights and weekends required.
  • Must successfully complete/pass a USDOJ background check.
