Lead Java Developer

Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Lead Java Engineer with experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. Roles and responsibilities:

-Lead the design and development of microservices-based applications using Java 11, Java 8, and Vert.x
-Oversee the implementation of Kafka for real-time data streaming and messaging
- Provide expertise in AWS cloud services to ensure scalable and secure application deployment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs to maintain code quality
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Mentor junior developers and help them grow their technical skills
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge
- Work closely with IT Operations and Broadcasting teams to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for reference and reporting
- Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards.

Required Qualifications

* - BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

* -10+ years of software development experience

* - Proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, Invest API, Oracle, Kafka

* -Experienced with AWS cloud technologies (EKS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, RDS, terraform). AWS Developer or Solution Architect certification preferred.

* - Good to have experience in any of the rule's engine (Ex. Drools)

* * - Build and deployment tools like Jules and Jenkins

* - Strong communication skills and experienced in delivering projects in Scrum agile methodology.

* -Strong Analytical skills and problem-solving

* - Being a self-starter, quick learner, detail oriented.
