Position Overview: Senior Structural Bridge Engineer I

Our client is seeking a Senior Structural Bridge Engineer to join their team in support of a prominent infrastructure program. This role will be based in Celebration, FL, within the FDOT Corridors Program Office (CPO), where you will work alongside a team of engineers to help deliver one of the state's highest-profile projects.

Responsibilities:




  • Prepare project specifications, documents, analysis, and reports.



  • Perform design and impact studies, cost analyses, site selection, and design layouts.



  • Analyze and interpret data for design, planning, and other project-related activities.



  • Design projects, systems, components, and processes.



  • Conduct quality control reviews and field observations for ongoing construction projects.



  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff and teams.



  • Manage small multidisciplinary teams for various projects.




Qualifications:




  • Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, or equivalent education and experience.



  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing.



  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.



  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes, regulations, and ordinances.



  • Proficiency in production software and construction document production.



  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for finding innovative solutions.



  • Effective communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
