Zayo is seeking a Senior Manager, IT Portfolio Management is a critical leadership role responsible for driving strategic project delivery, operational excellence, and effectiveness within our technology ecosystem. Reporting to the Director of IT Portfolio Management, the Senior Manager, IT Portfolio Management will lead a high-performing team of project managers and agile practitioners, ensuring alignment between technology initiatives and business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead the Development and implementation of comprehensive project management methodologies and best practices.

  • Create and maintain project management processes and templates.

  • Establish and enforce project governance frameworks.

  • Provide strategic guidance to project teams on complex, cross-functional initiatives.

Team Management

  • Direct a team of project managers and agile practitioners.

  • Mentor and develop team members' professional capabilities.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Enterprise Collaboration

  • Partner closely with enterprise-level PMO to ensure consistent methodology and reporting.

  • Serve as a key liaison between IT and business units.

  • Facilitate communication and alignment across multiple stakeholder groups.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business owners and executive leadership.

Project Portfolio Oversight

  • Manage project portfolio performance metrics.

  • Implement robust project tracking and reporting mechanisms.

  • Participate in regular portfolio reviews and provide strategic recommendations.

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks across project portfolios.

Operational Excellence

  • Implement advanced project management tools and technologies.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational project management standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or related field.

  • PMP and/or SAFe certification.

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive project management experience.

  • Minimum of four (4) years of team leadership experience.

  • Proven track record of managing complex, enterprise-level technology initiatives.

  • Deep understanding of Agile and traditional project management methodologies.

Estimated Base Salary Range: $108,500 - $155,000 USD/annually.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.

The posting will be active for a minimum of 3 days. The active posting will continue to extend by 3 days until the position is filled.
