Kilpatrick, a large international law firm, is seeking a Legal Analyst for our Corporate Department in our Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas or Raleigh office. This position will be part of our team of attorneys, paralegals and support staff providing a high level of service to both internal and external clients. Kilpatrick's Real Estate Finance & Capital Markets ("CM") team is seeking a Legal Analyst to provide semi-autonomous, complex support to attorneys on an industry leading team representing lenders, servicers and investors in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions. The Legal Analyst will be an integral part of the team and assist attorneys in all aspects of commercial real estate finance transactions, as well as client development and practice management. The Legal Analyst will provide workflow coordination duties and will work under the direction of attorneys and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Supervises transaction workflow
  • Assists with file opening, including conflicts issues, and closing
  • Maintains client contacts, assists in developing client relationships
  • Assists with meeting scheduling
  • Prepares critical date lists and manages transaction calendars
  • Utilizes available firm resources, including the Resource Center, Research and Information Services, Marketing/business Development, Records, Mail and Copy Services, New Business Intake and Finance
  • Prepares reports, tables and Excel documents as requested
  • Prepares PowerPoint presentations and coordinates client events as requested
  • Coordinates travel arrangements, including air, hotel, and car plans and conference registration for timekeeper off-site meetings and events as needed, including handling of related reimbursement requests
  • Handles extensive document management
  • Assists with billing, collections and application of funds as requested


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:



  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience preferred
  • Prior law firm experience preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of computer systems and programs including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Extensive knowledge of legal terminology, processes and definitions
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Service orientation and teamwork skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management skills; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail; excellent editing and proofreading skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to identify problems and propose creative solutions
  • Ability to balance multiple complex tasks


This is a full-time, regular position with a multi-faceted health benefit package including medical, dental, and vision. The firm also offers life insurance, short term disability plans and retirement plans in addition to holidays and paid time off. The firm offers hybrid work schedules combining in office work days as well as remote work days. The pay range for this position in Atlanta and Dallas only is $50.05 to $75.07 per hour; in Chicago only is $53.62 to $80.43 per hour; and in Raleigh only is $47.48 to $71.28 per hour.
