This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing program that provides eCommerce capabilities for Fifth Third Bank. Specifically, you serve as a lead Adobe AEM developer responsible for the 53.com Website from architecture, to design, development and delivery.

As a technical software engineer, you are a member of an agile squad and viewed as the subject-matter expert who use your technical knowledge to bridge the gap between product and technical aspects of product development, product design, and product strategy. You will have deep knowledge of the technical aspects and functions of Adobe AEM website development and will help determine how the product's unique features fit into the overall strategy and vision.

While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Technical liaison between developers, stakeholders, Design, and UX; translates the Design and UX vision into reusable code.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and stakeholders to design and develop AEM components, templates, and workflows that meet project requirements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end and back-end developers, to ensure a cohesive and efficient implementation of digital solutions.
  • Responsible for maintaining UI and UX code and design system standards that are consistent with established brand standards for the AEM platform that support 53.com and Newline53.com.
  • Integrate AEM with various third-party systems and platforms using APIs, GraphQL and other integration methods to fetch data or integrate in headless ways.
  • Configure AEM settings, permissions, and workflows based on project needs and best practices.
  • Assist in content migration and authoring, ensuring seamless transition and adherence to content guidelines and best practices.
  • Optimize AEM performance by identifying and addressing bottlenecks, improving code efficiency, and implementing caching strategies.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to team members and stakeholders.
  • Document technical specifications, system architecture, and development processes for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Conduct code reviews and participate in quality assurance activities to ensure code meets established standards and project requirements.
  • Must have basic experience with Adobe Photoshop, Sketch, Abstract, and Figma design software.
  • Involved in technical solutioning and effort estimation of user stories per project.
  • Builds user stories and provides technical direction for junior developers based on project business requirements and needs.
  • Provides oversight of other colleague front-end developer's work and QA and code reviews to ensure the team continues to follow best practices.
  • Aligns solutions to business use-cases, designs and develops proof-of-concepts, and performs project discovery / workshops.
  • Works closely with the Product Owner and project team to define project business requirements, execute on project deliverables and the day-to-day management of the project as a senior developer.
  • Develops components, templates, and technical solutions using advanced front-end development technologies (HTL/HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Node.js, NPM, jQuery, GitHub, Linting, CI/CD pipelines, IntelliJ IDEA, Maven) to support and enhance the unauthenticated 53.com user experience (UX).
  • Develops components and templates in collaboration with back-end developers based on Product Owner and LOB feedback, in addition to business requirements from Content Authors, Design, UX, and stakeholders.
  • Owns and establishes development process for the squad's front-end development cycle based on DevOps standards as defined by the Bank.
  • Provides development leadership and oversight to internal and external resources.
  • Develops and enforces web-publishing standards and best practices, including ADA web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0 AA).
  • Acts as technical expert to address problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platform integrations. Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects in conjunction with back-end developer(s).
  • Maintains technical documentation, squad and job-specific documentation, and solution design documentation.
  • Maintains an ongoing awareness of current web design, web development, digital design trends, and best practices.
  • Shares insights and improvement recommendations with junior development and leadership
  • Serves as technical resource for less experienced team members. Mentorship, providing feedback, sharing
  • Follows Agile and SAFe standards.
  • Follows best practices and standards and participates in communities of practice to continuously refine and document these standards.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or comparable with 8+ years of experience in in J2EE programming experience and 5+ years of software development experience in AEM demonstrating depth of technical understanding within AEM Sites, Assets, and Workflows.
  • Expertise of Adobe Experience Manager v6.5+, AEM as a Cloud Service, and understanding Cloud Manager.
  • Solid experience with AEM building blocks including editable templates, components, dialogs, widgets, experience fragments and content fragments.
  • Good expertise in OSGi Services/Components, Apache Sightly (HTL), Sling Models, GraphQL and AEM core components and templates
  • Experience with Java Content Repository (API) and Sling web framework.
  • Strong knowledge of Java, sling, and Web technologies
  • Good practical experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript frameworks
  • Familiar with AEM DevOps best practices.
  • Experience with Salesforce personalization and testing technologies.
  • Knowledge of version control tools, especially Git.
  • Expertise in dispatcher and CDN caching strategies.
  • Experience with testing at all levels: unit, integration, functional and performance
  • Knowledge and experience in developing software using agile methodologies.
  • AEM Developer certification preferred.
  • Strong Problem Solving, Decision Making, and Analytical Capabilities (research, logical reasoning, creativity, data analysis, critical thinking) Required
  • Software Development (SDLC, programming languages architecture, etc.)
  • Experience with API development, Solution architecting, component development, template creation, Infrastructure monitoring and maintenance, GitHub, user role management
  • Agile development and Scrum methods
  • Designing, Coding, and Testing tools, approaches, and technologies
  • User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) Design
  • Stories of the user (creation and administration)
  • Experience using and developing upon Adobe Analytics and Adobe Launch.

Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
