COMPANY: National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak)

TITLE:Program Manager


LOCATION:Washington, D.C. and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. (remote position)

DUTIES: Develops, executes, and oversees a variety of departmental business projects and initiatives aligned with corporate policies and programs to meet business objectives. Responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing various and multiple business improvements systemwide by examining, benchmarking, and reviewing work practices, policies, procedures, reports, data, budgets, agreements, work standards and other relevant documents to ensure efficiency and economies of scale to support Digital Transformation (DT) in creating a uniform and consistent structure. Oversees the departmental goals established and ensures each scope of work is completed on time and within budget. Develops and ensures continuous improvement of work methods and procedures that increase efficiency and drive improvement in the safety and reliability of the infrastructure. Supports specialized projects that require knowledge of labor/union agreements and implementation of pay policies of various employee types. Supports external project dependencies and collaboration with various technical initiatives in the railway industry.

REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, followed by seven (7) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Program Manager or any occupation related to Project Management. Must have seven (7) years of experience: (1) Coordinating and establishing collaborative partnerships with multiple departments, vendors, and assets to ensure cost-effective execution of major scope milestones, including scoping, financial, and resource decisions; (2) Providing and analyzing financial project performance, forecasting reports, and implementing risk management assessments/plans through SAP HCM, ECC, and UKG/Kronos WFM/WFD/WF payroll and financial applications; and (3) Managing IT implementation projects/programs in the transportation industry. Must also have five (5) years of experience: (4) Managing complex, cross-functional large projects/programs valued at over $30 million USD; (5) Managing implementation of UKG/Kronos products, including Telestaff, Workforce Central, and Workforce Dimension; and (6) Using Maximo Assessment Management Systems and Workforce Management Systems, including eWFM, Labor Management Systems (LMS), and SAP systems. Active Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification required. All experience may be acquired concurrently. Remote work permitted in accordance with standard company policy. All positions require pre-employment background check verification and a pre-employment drug screen. Up to 25% domestic travel required.

SALARY: $148,034 per year
