This is a FIRST SHIFT position, working Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm in Lithia Springs, Georgia.

Responsibilities

    Follow all safety procedures.
  • Follow the cycle count procedure and process to perform cycle counting duties and inventory adjustment.
  • Cycle count finished goods and other materials requested on a daily basis.
  • Utilize WMS/ERP system to process cycle counts, review on-hand inventory, and transactions
  • Ensure materials are in proper locations. Conducts searches to locate misclassified inventory.
  • Maintain files and paperwork properly for cycle count record.
  • Report discrepancies and inventory accuracy on a daily basis.
  • Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommend process improvement to eliminate inventory inaccuracy.
  • Performs duties in compliance with all safety rules and regulations required by the company, federal, state, and local provisions.
  • Answer customer calls for customer service
  • Order entry for customer orders and other customer service related responsibilities as applicable.
  • Dispute ASN and fill rate fines when applicable.
  • Order picking and processing as needed.
  • Working with NAM's to help establish Kanban levels in relation to rate of sales
  • Follow all quality procedures and instructions, maintain housekeeping in the work area.
  • Other related duties as directed by management.


Qualifications

Skills/Competencies Required:

  • Must have demonstrated communication skills (both written and verbal) for upward, and downwards communication flow.
  • Ability to work independently in a warehouse environment.
  • On- the- job experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts.
  • Computer proficiency, specifically Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work directly with customers and business partners to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Requires the ability to read and follow job instructions, complete written forms, and effectively communicate with others.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 4-5 years of progressive experience working in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment within inventory management and customer service.
  • Experience operating lift trucks is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to frequently lift, push and pull up to 20 lbs, for 9-10 hours per day and, on occasion, lift and push up to 60 lbs. This capability will either be determined from a physical exam, or verifiable past performance.
  • Prolonged standing and/or sitting during a shift (9-10 hours) with frequent reaching, pulling and bending.
  • May be required to pass a physical exam for wearing a respirator, which is a requirement for certain jobs.

Work Environment:

  • Hot/cold temperatures based on seasonal variations
  • May be subject to humidity, noise, odors, and dust
  • Safety precautions are a must to minimize potential exposure to mechanical hazards.

Compensation Disclosure:

The rate of pay for this position is $26.50/hour. This represents a good faith disclosure of compensation, which is the fixed starting rate for this position.
