The Collaborative for Educational Services (CES) is seeking an Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist with expertise in parenting education, a positive attitude, and a passion for providing mental health services to young children and their families.

This is you:

  • You hold an MSW and have 3 - 5 yrs of experience in the field of early childhood mental health or a related field.
  • You are proficient in the use of technology.
  • You are willing to travel.
  • You are interested in building stronger early education and care programs/public preschool-family partnerships in order to improve academic and behavioral outcomes.
  • You are excited about working with teachers and parents/caregivers to help them be more successful at building on the child's strengths and meeting their needs

Highlights of What You Will Do:

  • Outreach and provide onsite mental health consultation to EEC-licensed early education and care programs and/or public school preschools to assist them in meeting the social and emotional needs of children and families, using research-based practices.
  • Provide parenting education, collateral work with parents, and onsite consultation for early educators.
  • Serve as a parenting resource specialist by providing information and guidance to parents and other professionals who work with young children.
  • Plan and provide both parent and early educator professional development workshops.

Terms of Employment:

  • Grant-funded position
  • 25-35 hours/week, including nights and weekends as needed
